Frequently Asked Questions

1.) How much orange is required in Montana?
An orange vest.

2.) Is there a Muzzleloader season?
At this time Muzzleloaders can be used during the rifle season.

3.)Caliber of Rifle to bring?
Never under power the animal you are hunting. I will never say that's to much gun. Preferably a .300 Mag is an excellent choice for all North American game.

4.) How will I get my license?
I will send out applications for all of our Hunters in the proper time frame.

5.) Type of scope?
Minimum would be 2X7 with a preference of 3.5x10.

6.) Bullets?
Most bullets are good now days. I prefer Nosler Partition. I don't care for the Ballistic Tip for Big Game.

7.) Do I need a Hunters Safety Course?
Only if you are 14 years or younger.
However, Archery Hunters do need a Bow Hunting license from a previous state from past years to receive your Stamp for License.

8.) Is there any hidden costs on these hunts?
Meat processing and Taxidermy are other costs to remember.
